Cookie Policy
Last updated: September 25, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how SmilePlax ("we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on smileplax.com. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage and session storage, and small pieces of code called pixels, work in a similar way. We call all of them "cookies" in this policy.
Cookies we use
Our store runs on Shopify, so most cookies on this site are set by Shopify to make the store work. We use these categories:
- Strictly necessary — needed for the store to work: keeping products in your cart (for example, the cart cookie), remembering your country and language (the localization cookie), processing checkout, keeping the site secure and preventing fraud. These cannot be switched off, because the store would not work without them.
- Functional — remember choices you make on the site. For example, our site uses your browser's session storage to remember the cart reservation timer, and this is deleted when you close the tab. If you use PayPal or "Sign in with Shop", those services may store information in your browser to make them work.
- Analytics — Shopify's built-in analytics help us understand how visitors use the store (for example, which pages are visited and how many orders are placed), so we can improve it.
- Marketing / advertising — at the date of this policy, we do not use third-party advertising cookies or pixels (such as Meta, TikTok or Google Ads). If we start using them, we will update this policy first.
You can see the full list of cookies that Shopify may set on stores, and what each one does, in Shopify's Cookie Policy.
Your choices
- Your Privacy Choices: you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising on our Your Privacy Choices page.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC): if your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as an opt-out request for that browser.
- Browser settings: most browsers let you block or delete cookies. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the store (such as the cart and checkout) will not work.
How long cookies last
Some cookies are deleted when you close your browser (session cookies). Others stay for a set period, from a few minutes up to about one year, unless you delete them earlier. Shopify's Cookie Policy lists the duration of each Shopify cookie.
Changes
We will update this page if we change the cookies we use, and change the "Last updated" date above.
